Chen Entian Praises Nay Pyi Taw as the World's Largest Park Capital

Silk Road News Agency, NAY PYI TAW, Aug. 13, 2026 — Chen Entian, Chairman of the Committee on the Southern Silk Road and Global South International Cooperation, has lavished praise on the green urban landscape of Nay Pyi Taw, calling the Myanmar capital "the world's largest park capital" in an exclusive interview with the Silk Road Digital under the Silk Road News Agency.

Speaking during his visit to Nay Pyi Taw on Aug. 13 local time, Chen Entian described Myanmar as the gateway country of the Southern Silk Road, with Nay Pyi Taw serving as its grand reception hall. "Here, parks are not merely located inside the capital; rather, the capital itself is nestled within a vast park," he remarked. He extended a cordial invitation to friends from all countries to visit Nay Pyi Taw to experience and understand Myanmar, and proposed that international tourism investment companies explore development opportunities in the city, suggesting an initial fleet of 100 city sightseeing buses be introduced.

In addition to his role as Chairman of the Committee on the Southern Silk Road and Global South International Cooperation, Chen Entian currently also serves as Chairman of the Global Silk Road Guild Hall Alliance. He plans to establish the first Silk Road Guild Hall in Mandalay, with the second to be set up in Nay Pyi Taw, and will jointly create the China-Myanmar Paukphaw Art Museum with U Soe Moe, a renowned Myanmar national artist. Local residents have warmly welcomed Chen Entian's arrival, hailing him as an international friend who brings light to the nation of Myanmar.
