2026 Xinjiang Silk Road Wine Festival to Kick off in Changji

Urumqi, August 28. With a wine‑making heritage spanning more than 2,000 years along the Silk Road, the wine industry across the Tianshan Mountains has kept upgrading and become a key pillar driving high‑quality development of Xinjiang’s characteristic economy.

A press conference for the 2026 Xinjiang Silk Road Wine Festival was held on August 28. It was announced that the festival themed “Splendid Wine, Charming Xinjiang” will officially open in Changji City on September 27.

This year’s festival sets new records in overall scale, merchant participation and industrial supporting facilities. Giving full play to the empowering role of the event platform, it will showcase the achievements of Xinjiang’s whole wine industrial chain, and facilitate the transformation of regional resource advantages into industrial, brand and market strengths for sound growth of the local wine sector.
