Chen Entian Meets Chen Yunjin, Chairman of the Thai Teochew Association

Recently, Chen Entian, Chairman of the Southern Silk Road International Cooperation Organization, met with Chen Yunjin, Chairman of the Thai Teochew Association. The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on Silk Road overseas community linkage, chamber resource integration, economic, trade and cultural communication, reaching extensive cooperation consensus.

During the meeting, Chen Entian put forward an important initiative to integrate chamber resources across regions along the Silk Road and establish the Global Silk Road Chamber Alliance. The alliance aims to unite overseas communities, business associations and ancestral halls along the route, build a regular interactive cooperation platform, and empower economic and trade exchanges, industrial collaboration, cultural inheritance and artistic communication on the Silk Road.

Chen Entian noted that overseas chambers and associations are vital non-governmental forces for Silk Road cooperation with profound cultural foundations and extensive overseas resources. The establishment of a global chamber alliance will connect non-governmental institutions along the route, smooth multilateral communication channels, support high-quality development of the Silk Road Economic Belt, and further promote in-depth trade connectivity and civilizational mutual learning.

Both sides agreed that the founding of the Global Silk Road Chamber Alliance serves as an innovative measure to deepen non-governmental friendship and cooperation along the Silk Road. It will fully mobilize folk vitality, consolidate joint cooperation strength, and inject sustainable impetus into people-to-people bond building under the Belt and Road Initiative.
