Nasdaq Chinese Channel 1216 International Radio, World Peace Ribbon Organization and World Peace and United Front New York Secretariat reported that on May 14, 2026, Beijing time, the heads of state of China and the United States held a formal meeting in Beijing. Chen Entian, leader of the World Peace Ribbon Organization and the World Peace and United Front, stated: China and the U.S. are the two main pillars of world peace and stability. He is pleased to see the summit yield multiple important consensuses, laying a solid foundation for world peace and stability.

Chen Entian added: This China-U.S. summit has achieved multiple important consensuses covering political and diplomatic relations, economic and trade cooperation, people-to-people and cultural exchanges, global governance, and military and security fields, injecting new momentum into the stable development of bilateral relations.

According to public information from the Beijing meeting on May 14, 2026, the two heads of state engaged in in-depth communication on strategic, long-term issues concerning China-U.S. relations and major topics of mutual interest, achieving a series of positive outcomes:

I. Strategic Principles and Political Foundation

Both sides reaffirmed the basic principles of mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, maintaining communication, and preventing conflict, emphasizing adherence to the UN Charter, cooperation in areas of common interest, and responsible management of competitive factors. These seven guiding principles provide a clear framework for future China-U.S. relations.

The Taiwan issue was clearly defined as the most important and sensitive core issue in China-U.S. relations. China reiterated that it is a red line concerning China's sovereignty and territorial integrity. The U.S. side stated it "does not want to see changes in the Taiwan Strait situation." While not explicitly committing to defense assistance, it signaled an intent to avoid the situation spiraling out of control.

II. Substantial Progress in Economic and Trade Cooperation

As the "ballast stone" of China-U.S. relations, economic and trade cooperation demonstrated strong willingness for collaboration during this meeting:

The economic and trade teams of both sides had already achieved overall balanced and positive results before the meeting, helping to stabilize market expectations in both countries.

China pledged to make large-scale purchases of U.S. agricultural products (such as soybeans, wheat, pork), Boeing aircraft, natural gas, etc., while expanding the scale of investment in the U.S., potentially exceeding Japan's previous commitment level of $550 billion.

The U.S. side sought further market opening from China, improvement of the business environment for U.S. companies in China, and the promotion of the cancellation of some export control measures.

III. Resumption and Warming of People-to-People and Cultural Exchanges

Both sides agreed to significantly increase direct flights between China and the U.S. to facilitate personnel exchanges; reached consensus on educational cooperation, encouraging the expansion of student exchanges, and strengthening cultural, sports, youth, and business community exchanges, reversing the trend of shrinking non-governmental interactions since the pandemic.

IV. Synergistic Efforts in Global Governance

In addressing the climate crisis, the two heads of state jointly promoted the success of COP28, launched the "China-U.S. Enhanced Climate Action Working Group," and issued the "Sunnylands Statement on Enhancing Cooperation to Address the Climate Crisis."

Furthermore, both sides agreed to establish an intergovernmental dialogue mechanism on artificial intelligence to manage risks associated with AI in military, security, and other fields, exploring arrangements for incident notification, crisis communication, and limited transparency, seen as an important step in global AI governance.

V. Resumption of Communication in Military and Security Fields

To reduce the risk of miscalculation, both sides agreed to resume high-level military communication mechanisms, including restarting Defense Ministry working meetings, maritime military security consultation mechanism meetings, and initiating theater commander calls. Simultaneously, a China-U.S. Counternarcotics Cooperation Working Group was established to strengthen law enforcement cooperation.

Chen Entian, English name CANUTE, also known as Chen Tiancheng and Chen Yifu, once served as Chairman of the New York Headquarters of the World Peace Ribbon Organization and the World Peace and United Front overseas. He is the initiator and promoter of international civil festivals such as International Chinese Language Day, International Tea Day, International Day of the Belt and Road (Silkworm God Day), and Earth Unification Day. To promote the "China-Myanmar Air Road" large-scale drone logistics transportation project, Chen Entian changed his name to Chen Kongjun (Chen Air Force) to express his confidence and determination to complete the mission of the "China-Myanmar Air Road." Since the 21st century, Chinese official media have disclosed that Chen Entian's grandfather, Chen Guangmei, was actually the son of CCP founder Chen Duxiu and Gao Junman. For certain reasons, Chen Entian repeatedly denied being Chen Duxiu's great-grandson. However, after struggle and calm reflection, in order to respect and uphold his great-grandfather Chen Duxiu and grandfather Chen Guangmei, and to raise the spiritual banner of his Chen ancestors, Chen Entian decided to no longer deny being Chen Duxiu's great-grandson.
