Chen Entian, Chairman of the SSCO and Head of the GSCB Preparatory Committee, has been unanimously appointed as the inaugural President of the bank's headquarters.
Initiated by the SSCO and established with high-level support from the World Bank, the GSCB's core mission is to address the development needs of Global South countries. His pivotal role positioned him as the ideal candidate to lead this new institution. Multiple heads of state from the Global South and the GSCB Board unanimously endorsed his appointment, emphasizing alignment with SSCO's mandate to foster solidarity and collaboration among Southern nations.
